Jesus said ‘Let the children come to me and do not hinder them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.’ Mark 10v14

We believe the very best thing we can offer children is faith in Jesus. Our aim is to partner with parents in order to give all children from our community every opportunity to learn about him in a place that’s safe, designed for children, and cares about children as individuals - Promiseland!

Primary school aged children from Reception to Year 6 can be registered and dropped off fifteen minutes before the 9.30am and 11.15am services start (apart from the last Sunday in the month when it’s an All Age Worship service). A typical Sunday in Promiseland will have:

  • Time spent at activity stations building relationships through playing games and doing crafts.
  • Large group time looking at the Bible in a relevant and creative way with dramas, story- telling and videos followed by singing.
  • Small group time to explore the teaching in age-appropriate ways - games, discussion, prayer - to find out what God is saying to them today.

Children are then collected by parents at the end of the service from the back of church.

Promiseland takes place in the Church Centre which is next accessed through the side Bookshop entrance, children in years 3-6 will be taken to the Birchwood Centre for separate teaching and brought back for the end of the service.
