Our church buildings are used primarily for St James’s ministry activities but we welcome enquiries from those who would like to hire space for community activities or events.



We have the following spaces available to hire:


  • The Church Building

  • The Church Centre
  • The Birchwood Centre



Church Building: This space is often used for concerts and other musical events. It has a PA system available for use with hire. Maximum capacity: 500.

Church Centre: This space is attached to the main church building. It has a kitchen and carpeted hall space which can be divided up into smaller spaces with screens. It is usually only hired as part of a booking in the church building.

Birchwood Centre: This venue is located at 171 Fortis Green Road, N10 3BG (see Map).

Large hall: 12m x 15m approx (37 ft X 50 ft); height 5m (17 ft) | Maximum capacity: 300 standing / 200 seated.
Small meeting room, kitchen and toilets are also available as part of the hire.
There are 3 rectangular tables, 6 benches and 40 chairs available with hire.
This space is regularly hired for parties, exercise classes and small groups.
Cost for hire: £65/hour + £100 deposit
