‘All your children shall be taught by the Lord and great shall be the peace of your children’ Isaiah 54:13

In Promiseland Junior we are reminded that 'children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3) and that we should do all we can to teach them His Word so that they can know who Jesus is, love him and follow His ways.

We warmly welcome all children from 0-4 years of age (pre-schoolers) during both morning services at 9:30am and 11:15am on Sundays (excluding the family services such as All Age Worship on the last Sundays of the month). All our helpers are part of the church family and have undergone a DBS check as part of our safeguarding procedures. They dedicate their time and energy to create a warm, loving, caring, nurturing and safe environment where each child will feel included, comfortable and well cared for.

To enable parents/carers to participate fully in the services, we invite you to join us from 9:15am or 11.00am so that you can settle your child if needed and not miss out on the start of the service. We also ask that a registration form is completed on your first visit.

  • Following registration we allow the children to have free play in our various designated areas for the group. After free play, all the children come together for our large group time where we learn from the Bible through a variety of activities including singing, praying, story time, ‘catch up time – children talk about their week ’ and share a snack after that. (Please let us know if your child have any allergies).
  • We encourage mothers with babies to join us as well in our crèche.
  • The pre-schoolers (three years of age and over) then leave with the teachers to the teaching area for small group time where they learn more about the Word of God in an age appropriate way. Each session is based on a different Bible story and is designed to allow the children to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding through hearing or acting out the story, songs, crafts, prayer activities and games.
  • We engage the younger children in a variety of activities including free play, crafts, Bible stories, games etc.

At the end of our time together we hope each child leaves knowing a little more about Jesus and his love for them. We encourage parents/carers to talk to us and support the work we do with the little ones by talking to them in the home about what they have learnt in their time with us. Reading the Bible and praying with the children provides a great opportunity to do this.
